Dazzlers aiming to defeat UDA title

The Carencro High School Dazzlers are no strangers to awards and this year at UDA camp they kept up the pace as they placed second overall.

Besides their top placing, the team won several other awards, including Superior Team Award, “On the Ball” award, Spirit stick, and the 110% award (which is voted on by the UDA staff).

Besides the summer practices in hot gyms and the after school practices scattered across the campus, the Dazzlers also practicing everyday as a team in their P.E. class that they share with the cheerleaders.

As a team, the squad, with school sponsor Thomas Stevens, hopes to work hard enough to make a run at nationals and defend their title.

Team captain, Ashlee Gautreaux, said that her personal goal as captain, “is to make a difference in each girl's attitude towards dancing.”
