Gabrielle Quarmenil
Gabrielle Emmanuelle Quarmenil, our new French teacher at Carencro High, has an interesting history of education in both her personal life and career.
She attended high school at Lyceé Schoelcher in Martinque, France. While in high school, Ms. Quarmenil was involved in sports and the arts, which included painting, drawing, and story writing.
Quarmenil later attended college at La Sorbonne in Paris. She obtained her masters degree, Post Masters, DEA, and is currently a candidate for her Ph.D.
Feeling a calling to teach, Quarmenil had always admired her teachers and the profession. She likes to pass knowledge on to her students, while she learns from them as well.
Previous to her appointment at CHS, she taught in St. Landry Parish and at UL Lafayette and she now enjoys calling Louisiana her home.
I love Louisiana and its diversities, Quarmenil said.
Professionalism and courtesy are just a few of Quarmenil's favorite things a CHS. She also admires the administration, staff and peers, students, and teachers.
Quarmenil said that her goal as a teacher is to teach, educate, and mold student's characters and personalities so that they can become responsible and respectable adults.
