Beauty pageant like no other adds spice to homecoming week

Mr. Mrs. CHS was crowned for the first time this year on October 13 as Carencro High held its first male beauty pageant as male students dressed in drag and competed in three events: a runway walk, a talent display, and two questions were asked to each contestant.

The contestants were seniors D.J. Brasseaux, Stevie Billeaud, Aaron McCauley, Blake Comeaux, Joe Coussan, Andy Guilbeau, Seth Lecoq, Wayland Guillory, and Randy Palmer.

Stevie Billeaud, the All Natural Stephanie the Scandinavian Ice Princess, was crowned our queen.

His stunning interpretive ballet dance won the hearts of the judges.

The emcees of the night, Morgan Fogleman and Tiffany Clause, asked him, “If you had one wish, what would it be?” and “What would be your dream date?” in such a lady-like manner, Billeaud replied, “More Streets.” and “Climbing trees with T-Ray” respectively.

First runner up was Shanaenae Laquann, better known to the student body as Wayland Guillory.

He showed off his feminine talent by performing a slam dunk in a dress in front of the whole crowd.

Emcees Fogleman and Clause then posed him the same questions Guillory answered to which he answered, “to be on White Chicks Part 2 and Josh Ardoin.”

Although homecoming week was very stressful time for many people at CHS, the first annual Mr. Mrs. CHS Beauty Pageant was a great way to relieve the stress.
