Homecoming Dance a success despite turmoil
When it comes to annual events at Carencro High School, one of the most popular or important is the homecoming dance.
It may be said that it is one of the more quintessential social events at school.
The overall atmosphere of our homecoming dances is top-notch next to prom and it towers over other school-sponsored dances; from a planning aspect, it is one of the most thought through dances that we have.
Looking past the hassle at the door, that saw many students denied admission for their attire, the dance turned out to be a success.
At the beginning of the evening, the dance floor was lackluster, but after the court was introduced, the crowd flipped the script.
“The dance was fun; beside our little complications, but there was no way we were going to let something as little as that ruin our Homecoming,” Junior Julesa Howard said.
Song after song people danced, but it wasn't until the end, that the Chaos Committee decided to make the Class of ‘06's presence known.
“I thought the dance was well put together and I really enjoyed myself," said Junior Britney LeBlanc.
Many people had a great time and for some it would be one of their last homecoming dances spent here at Carencro High.
