The Paw Prints hot-seat with: No. 1 Carencro fan Steve Dupuis
Steve Dupuis you are now on the Paw-Prints hot-seat
KJ: How long have you been a Carencro high football fan?
SD: Forever, I graduated from here, my wife graduated from here, my kids graduated from here, and I think I found my dog in the parking lot.
KJ: What was your favorite team to watch (what year)?
SD: 1992, that was special-Kevin Faulk, Derrick Beavers and Earnest Lazard were in the backfield that year. That team was special.
KJ: What was your favorite game you watched?
SD: 92, Archbishop Shaw, home, down in the first half, second half comeback. They put Kevin in at D.B. and the game ended with Kevin stopping them at the 10 yard line.
KJ: How long have you been watching practices on the road along side school?
SD: 3-4 days a week, 8-9 years.
KJ: Who is the most exciting player you ever watched (defensive, offensive)? Why?
SD: Offensive would be Kevin Faulk (class of 1995), and Derrick Beavers (class of 1993), by far. The intensity those two played with was unreal. They were all business. Defensive would be Garren Jim (class of 2004).
KJ: Do you notice a difference in the boys from when Coach Barousse coached vs. Coach Guidry now?
SD: No, they both coach with great intensity.
KJ: What is your favorite thing about Carencro Football?
SD: Something about Friday nights at this stadium. Every time I'm out here and I see those boys in the end zone about to run on the field, I just get chills. It's like a movie for me.
KJ: What team do you dislike the most?
SD: I don't like anyone that's not us, especially Acadiana.
