The Paw Prints Hot-Seat with Kyle Jones

Featuring senior boys' soccer players Ray Boudreaux

KJ: What is your outlook on the 2005/2006 soccer season?

RB: Take down the Rams, take down the Lions. And not let a team from New Iberia beat us this year.

KJ: Do you feel the team is at a loss or a gain after losing the seniors the team had last year?

RB: I feel we are at a gain because we return with a group of strong, skilled seniors this year.

KJ: What do you feel is the teams biggest areas to improve on?

RB: We have a good squad but we need people that aren't looked at as starters to step up and fill holes that may be created due to injuries or substitutions.

KJ: What is your favorite part about Carencro soccer?

RB: Scoring a goal at a home game and having our fans yell your name. The late goal that beats Lafayette or Acadiana. I love ripping the heart out of Lafayette at least once a year when they underestimate us and we leave the stadium with a win. Also, there's Kurt's pre-game pep talks, the pregame “Fei chant,” coke and pizza whether we win or lose. Wondering why during each cool down, no matter the weather, why people take there shirts off.

KJ: What do you hope to accomplish this soccer season?

RB: We're aiming at district, and definitely getting to the playoffs.

Ray Boudreaux II you are now off the paw prints Hot-seat.
