Football rolls; at a price
Although the football game was a smashing success for the football team, it came at a smashing price. The Bears suffered more than one loss despite the 37-10 victory over the previously undefeated (in district) Sulphur Golden Tors.
Senior 6'8” offensive tackle Joe Guidroz dislocated his foot in between Sulphur defender Nathan Clophus and CHS quarterback Kydell Andrus; Guidroz will not be able to play again this season, but fortunately, will be able to continue his playing career at the college level.
Sophomore defensive end Keith Lavine was also lost for the season during a play which resulted in him leaving the game that night and subsequently having emergency surgery on his pancreas the following Monday morning.
