Parade squeaks by weather

On October 15, the CHS Student Council held the first annual Homecoming Parade.

The parade started at Dominique's Sale Barn, and ended at the Carencro Community Center. The parade began at 1:00 PM.

The parade also included the administration, senior football players, 2006 Homecoming Court, and many other CHS clubs and organizations.

Sunday morning the fate of the parade was uncertain due to the weather, but the Homecoming parade committee didn't let it stop them.

Committee members still continued the final planning of the parade, and the line up.

At 11:30, with the cloudy sky, but still no rain, the Homecoming parade committee was determined that the parade must still go on.

The parade was a success, and if by some divine inspiration the rain ended up coming though 10 minutes after the parade was over.
